Yes, I'm still alive. No I haven't forgotten about the sketchies I promised you guys in the last blog. Yes I still plan on doing them.

Here is why I've been gone.

I'm taking an ART CLASS!! I started one in 2k5 but didn't get to finish b/c I got sick... and the teacher was an idiot. Now I'm in a hardcore art class. They don't teach you how to draw. Just methods to evaluate an image and how to see perspective and proportion. How to see a line. how to see a shadow. I feel like I am growing so much. I only have it once a week.

Before the class I would have told you I couldn't draw a guy. I would have told you I couldn't draw several things. But now I am confident to try.

I have never been drawing so much in my entire life. I draw every day now. Then I go to the class and draw for six hours on Saturdays.

I moved to another town, and in the process I lost the sylus to my wacom tablet but I FOUND IT yesterday and I am SO EXCITED!! I miss photoshop. I've been drawing with mechanical pencils in my sketchbook, and with acrylic paint and with charcoal, conte and vine.

I was wondering if anyone knew where to get a free program similar to poser for Mac. it doesn't have to have a bunch of different options or anything. I basically want to use it as a mannequin for reference.

I am also looking for a new digital camera, street fighter for super nintendo, and also kirby's avalanche. My camera pooped out, and I can't submit all these TONS of traditional drawings i've done until I get one!!

Plus, have you SEEN the iPhone??? Holy crap I want one... but I want them to put frickin photoshop on it. and use the sylus and the screen like a wacom tablet. I think I just fell in love with the thought of that... *drool*

Here is the deal: Free sketches. HOWEVER. If you ask for one, you have to post this on your journal and do 10 for other people too!!! Just sketchies, nothing too crazy... but definitely fun!!!

Okay, so I've been practicing a lot lately... I've submitted a few things. How do you like them?

Here are things I am focusing on specifically, even if I haven't submitted something showing it yet:

5) Fine tuning my style
6) Backgrounds
7) Unhuman things (The thing from fantastic4 for example.)

I would like to put out some fan art and I also have some ideas for some original characters... I think it would benefit me to come up with a character so that I could have something to go to for these things I'm practicing and that would help with consistency as well.


I've been thinking of doing some collaborations lately... so maybe if you're interested, let me know and maybe we can do sumpin together. <3

Oh yeah... and MY BIRTHDAY is this Friday... woo!! I'll be 20.
